March / April 2023 "Staying True to Your Vision" article in Writer's Digest Magazine I'm thrilled to have an article in the March / April 2023 issue of Writer's Digest Magazine on "Staying True to Your Vision," about the lessons a writer can draw from a sailor preparing for a single-handed transatlantic crossing: having a vision for your work, stripping away unneeded material, and salvaging some of what you strip away.

January 2023 Author Your Dream Podcast on Building a Story Frame I had a lovely conversation with host Kenny MacKay: When Matty Dalrymple created the idea of the story frame, she didn’t want it to be just another name for an outline. For some, an outline is rigid, whereas the story frame feels a little more organic. This frame gives an author a clear picture of the overarching story and gives you something to hang everything else on.

June 2018 Guest on GSMC Book Review Podcast- The Golden State Media Concepts - Book Review Podcast gives SNAKES & LADDERS 5 stars: "Dalrymple's writing is fast-paced and compelling and her characters are human and easy to relate to. The main character, Lizzy, is both mature beyond her years but also sheltered and naive about much of life, which makes her even more interesting as she attempts to deal with the ability she has. I found her compelling, engaging, smart, and fascinating and can't wait to read more of her story."
