Hope to see you at Studio B in Boyertown on Sunday, March 8 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for a “meet and greet” with local authors (including yours truly)! You can also check out Studio B's exhibit “Layers of Language: Stories in Words and Images.” Click here for more information.
===== Lots of activity at the end of February for William Kingsfield Publishers! I met with Rosemary Augustine to prep for our discussion on "Independent Publishing for the Entrepreneurial Author" on Saturday, March 28 at 10:00am at the Chester County Library in EXTON. (Click here for details and to register.) Afterwards I headed off to Wellington Square Books to pick up their two remaining copies of The Sense of Death. On the way, I listened to Joanna Penn's podcast on "Getting your self-published book into bookstores and libraries" and her discussion of the challenges facing the independent bookstore--that made me less peevish that Wellington Square was returning my remaining books than grateful that they had devoted shelf space to The Sense of Death for a year! My more appreciative frame of mind got a karmic reward because when I got to Wellington Square they said they had sold a copy just that morning, and that they might be ordering more since the buyer was queuing upThe Sense of Death for her book club! If you live in Chester County or an adjoining county and would like to have an author-attended book club, let me know--I bring wine!
